Baby quilts

Two more baby quilts made and no pictures!  What is wrong with me??  I made a pink and lavender quilt for my sister-in-law's sister's baby Quinn and finally got around to making a quilt for my favorite nephew Cooper.  Somehow, when he was born I missed making him a blanket.  But I made him the coolest rag quilt with sock monkeys and bananas - since he's such a little monkey.
Must remember to TAKE PICTURES when I do something worthwhile!

I forgot to take a picture...

but I made a quick rag quilt out of flannel for my newest nephew Jace last week.  It wasn't a UFO but it was a project I started and finished, which is a big deal for me.
I'll have to see if I can track down a pic of it.

I'm thinking one of the projects I have that needs to go on my ufo list is transferring family videos to dvd.  Especially now that we're getting divorced, it might be nice for the kids to have some happy videos of our family and the video tapes are getting old!

2007 project

7 days, over 1000 pictures and almost 3 years ago.
I have 4 Disney albums started.  One for each park.  I have at least 100 Disney themed papers and dozens of stickers and other doodads.  These books should have been done long ago.  Each park has one layout done and a couple have title pages.  This weekend I pulled out the bin of stuff and sorted, organized and in general got ready to scrap it.  I'm trying to finish projects and surprisingly I have no problems looking at these pictures.  This trip was the best gift I ever gave my kids.  I planned it, I paid for it and I made it happen - all by myself.  I want to finish these books for Nic especially  - he still likes to look at the pictures and marvel at his heroes come to life.  So who's up for some scrapbooking nights at my place??

A sewing kit for Sophie...

While Sophie has been staying with Jim she's had times when she has needed some clothes repaired.  Unfortunately, Jim doesn't have the supplies.  I took a tin I got with some lip glosses and used some stickers I've had for ten years and made this cute little tin for a sewing kit.  It measures about 5" x 5" and I put thread, needles, tiny scissors and two tins of safety pins along with a sewing tip and a contents list.  I still have to teach her how to do minor repairs but now she has this cute little sewing kit.

My first full size quilt...

I think I started this quilt when Sophie was in First grade... before I went back to school and work and my life became so crazy.  (She's in 6th grade now btw)  It's a double sided quilt - both sides are pieced.  I finished it last week and it looks really cute!

The Queen of UFOs...

Mary Engelbreit is one of my favorite contemporary artists.  Her bright colors and whimsical style match my personality perfectly.  My kitchen is Mary Engelbreit Cherries (even my silverware) and I have my office and craft room in Mary's style as well.
She has an illustration of a woman with a crown sitting on a throne with the caption "The Queen of Everything"  I'd like to be the Queen of everything, but I'm the Queen of UFOs.  UFOs aren't alien vehicles, they are Unfinished Objects, or craft projects.  I've got LOADS of them dating back to 1996.  In the process of sorting and clearing out my excess supplies I've found lots of them and have been reinvigorated to work on them.  Lack of funds is keeping me from buying new supplies but I have PLENTY here to do and finish.
I'll be posting them here along with other crafty insights and ideas.  More to motivate me, but I'll be happy if a few of you follow along and work on your own UFOs...
